Elden Ring Game Review

Elden Ring Review

Elden Ring is an action-packed game developed in collaboration with the guy behind the fantasy series Game of Thrones, George R.R. Martin. The outstanding contribution of the latter is the brain where the game will take place. It is played from a third-person perspective where the player doesn’t control and decide for the character that’s being played but also sees it together with the environment and setting. Such a perspective is ideal for a game like Elden Ring, which is heavily invested in adventure, exploration, and combat maneuvering. With such a case, the player gets to see from a vantage point how the character fights, which makes the game all the more exciting, thrilling, compelling, and grittier. The first few hours may feel like the game is gentle, and in the middle is where it gets immersive, challenging, and mind-blowing.

The game was released just recently, February 25, 2022, and has, to date, gained positive reception and critical reviews both from gamers and critics alike. Review aggregators such as PC Gamer and MetaCritic have given it 90% and 97% ratings, respectively. Metacritic regarded it as one of the top-rated games in history. Pedestrian reviewers have raved about it having such a stunning design and truly first-rate in its class. The open-world setting, visuals, and aesthetics are spectacular enough to make the game undeniably a world-class masterpiece. The combat actions are beyond impressive. The game is never short of magic and adventure. The rewards and surprises within each are amazing and optional content is a lot, so the gamers get to exercise the best of their judgment to succeed and win the game. The optional contents provide the gamers the liberty to succeed at their own pace and decide on almost anything just as long as it adheres to the game’s main story. Despite the abundance of optional content, there remains a number of non-optional content that are equally captivating and which the gamers must satisfy. With all that said, despite the game being dense and lengthy with so much going on all simultaneously, it is always filled with great fun that one wouldn’t just get bored and leave their seats and take a break from the game. The overall experience will be awestriking.

Elden Ring Review

Such a case that it’s almost certain it will secure a place in the memory of gamers that will withstand the test of time. It has a great story, a beautifully-crafted setting, and challenging enough mysteries and fights to keep the player immersed and stimulated.

It is no surprise that such a feat was achieved. It has been years in the making, developed by FromSoftware, Inc. and Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. The work started in 2017 when its director Hideteka Miyazaki tapped George R.R. Martin, the novelist of A Song of Ice and Fire, on which the hit series Game of Thrones is based, to write a backstory and build a world that is played out on Elden Ring.

The games’ main goal is to restore the Elden Ring that was broken into shards, which are called Great Runes, which are in possession of the children Queen Marika. The children are at war against each other, attempting to win the shards. As the player continues the adventure in their attempt to restore the Elden Ring by collecting the shards from the children of Queen Marika, the player picks up weapons, armaments, and unique powers to empower them to succeed in the next level.
