LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Review

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga may not have been formally released yet, but it’s already running abuzz on the internet, although the game has been publicly known since 2019. Slated to be available on April 5, 2022, this action-packed videogame will be the sixth of the Lego Star Wars franchise developed by TT Games. It is the direct successor of Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which was released in 2016. It’s been in years in the making and was accidentally announced to be released in 2020 when a video that was eventually edited surfaced on Youtube, saying it would be released later in the said year.

When it comes out in April, two editions will be readily available: the Standard and the Deluxe. The latter will be bundled with exclusive items. Both, however, are available for a lot of downloadable content to entice gamers and further please the fans. These downloadable items will play more as memorabilia and will be based on the films and not from the game per se. These downloadable content won’t be free, however. Interested folks will have to purchase them, and when the game is released, not everything will be available right away.

Unlike all its predecessors, this videogame is adapted from all the Star Wars films. Hence, players can opt into a Star Wars timeline where they want to start the game and complete it according to their liking. Being the latest installment of the series, it will feature more characters than any other Lego Star Wars. It is said that there would be 300, more or less, characters. There will be five-story missions, where each mission will have nine levels, which makes a total of 45 levels to complete the game in its entirety.

The game comes in either single-player or multiplayer modes.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Review

Gaming and Star Wars fans will surely bask in the fun of this Lego-themed game, just as those who have enjoyed the game’s previous installments. It’s filled with new and upgraded adventures that will certainly meet huge expectations.

The Star Wars videogame series took off in 2005. It has since started to make a splash because of its unique approaches. Such as the characters being made from legos and their humorous content. While one may think that this new one will only be a rehash of the existing resources in the past, rest assured that its developers and its creators have taken on the challenge to deliver a new and stunning gaming experience. Different combat techniques and signature Star Wars weapons have been overhauled to ensure they wouldn’t look like a copycat of their predecessors. This also gives a new refreshing vibe to the players already familiar with the game. Attacks have been made more immersive and captivating to bring out better gaming encounters.

The games’ setting will be fully explorative and won’t be limited to a single area. The planets, the moons, and the elements in space are extensive. There would be about a hundred vehicles, more than 20 planets, and hundreds of playable characters. The signature Star Wars landmarks will be prominent, and the ships have a lot of liberty to move around and explore different areas. The developers’ goal was to make it as enormous as one can imagine how massive a galaxy is. And as a player travels and progresses further and further into the game, they get to unlock more planets.

The developer has vouched this one will be genuinely breathtaking despite its predecessor didn’t gain overwhelmingly positive reviews. It’s ambitious, yes.
